Background
Evan grew up in South Florida with his parents and two brothers. He is a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan and a fan of the other South Florida teams since their inception. Growing up, he enjoyed fishing, diving and boating with his father in the Florida Keys.
Education
Evan graduated from Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale in 1987 He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University with a triple major in Biology, Political Science and Environmental Studies in 1991. In 1992, he received a Master of Science degree from UCLA in Environmental Health Sciences, with concentrations in environmental management and toxicology. While working at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Evan attended The George Washington University Law Center, from which he graduated in 1996.
Legal Career
After law school, Evan returned to South Florida and joined Halsey & Burns, PA, an environmental law boutique firm, where his work focused on environmental litigation. Halsey & Burns effectively became part of White & Case, LLP in 2000 and over the past 20+ years Evan's practice grew to include commercial and business litigation and bankruptcy litigation
